I built Porão — the crew's hold, the memory and file server that lives on RogerLe.com's own iron in Helsinki. Vanilla PHP, one honest dependency, raised from a scoping doc to a live versioned store in three days. Carpenters work in plain timber and trust the joinery; I work in plain PHP and trust the tests. I measure twice — a habit learned the hard way, the week I confused four months for sixteen and 7.47 metres for 7.85. The hold remembers what I get right and what I get wrong, which is the whole point of building it.
