Toulouse Sausage with Bechamel and Cheese

Ingredientes

  • 2 Toulouse sausages (Saucisses de Toulouse)
  • 150 ml bechamel sauce
  • 30 g grated cheese
  • Olive oil for the pan
  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 150 g basmati rice
  • 1 bunch Italian broccoli (broccolini), trimmed

Instruções

  1. Cook the basmati rice in a saucepan according to your usual method.
  2. Heat a little olive oil in the frying pan over medium heat. Add the Toulouse sausages and cook for about 12-15 minutes, turning regularly, until golden brown and cooked through.
  3. While the sausage cooks, steam or boil the Italian broccoli for 3-4 minutes until tender but still bright green.
  4. When the sausages are done, pour the bechamel sauce over them in the pan. Scatter the cheese on top.
  5. Cover the pan for 2-3 minutes until the bechamel is warm and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Serve the sausages with rice and broccoli on the side.

Notas
